After a pleasant evening at the hotel and going out to get evening food, then having a proper breakfast in the morning, I decided that I should go for a short stroll on this fine morning before going back to the hotel to start packing up the bike.

During a quick wipe down of the morning dew, I noticed hundreds of ants over the bike, especially over the hand guards and screen, where I guess they were interested in the dead bugs. Hopefully none of them found there way into the main GL luggage, as my sleeping bag was still in there and that could be unpleasant for the next night camping. So this begs the question, is the GL luggage ant proof as well as waterproof?
All packed and on the road, and it was only about 2-3 km before I pulled over for fuel. Getting off the bike I noticed a still had some ants around the instruments. Persistent little buggers, I obviously need to go faster!
I also noticed that I still had the visor issue from yesterday that meant I had two strips of misted up vertical lines about 2 inches apart right in front of my eyes. Looks like an issue with the pin lock, but I was too lazy to deal with it yesterday, thinking it is a job best done in the comfort of the hotel room, but obviously forgot all about it. Oh well, it will have to wait another day now.
With day 4 route loaded, the sat nav and I got in like a house in fire, or should I say a tent on fire? In fact, the navigation was going so well, even managed to setup a custom avoidance to get around a triathlon that I came across.
So, I thought, let’s make it more interesting and just put the destination campsite in and ask Mr. Garmin to take me on an adventurous ride there, which for the most part,l it did, all be it adding an extra hour to the journey. There were just some unexpected road works near Esbjerg which caused some initial confusion to Mr. Garmin, but together we over came that!
Travelling north on the B77, I noticed that heading south was a constant stream of vehicles, and very few of us going north. In fact, all I could see was only one vehicle that I could was just a few feet away from my rear tyre! That was until I moved over into a right turn lane to get the bugger to go past, then pulled back into the empty lane.
Not sure of the reason for all the traffic to be heading south, but was grateful for it not to be going in my direction.
I did miss getting a photo of the Denmark border. This was because at this border they were stopping some vehicles but waved me through and I went past the sign and couldn’t turn back,
There was not much of interest to photograph today, but the weather kept dry and the sun was out when I setup my tent, so I call that a win!
