Day 21

Well, today we have a choice of heading north a bit further, doing an ‘F’ road first thing or skipping that and going back the way we came in.

I opted to do the ‘F’ road. It was certainly the toughest gravel track we have done so far, but the previous three days of gravel riding had put us in good stead for this and all of those that chose to do it, made it back down okay.

Then it was a case of meeting up with the others and heading south again.

Due to an Icelandic weather warning of strong winds, tonight’s camping was changed to another hostel.
